Lifetime Warranty on Workmanship
At Glass Genie, we take pride in the quality of our auto glass services. We provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all glass repair and replacement services for as long as you own or lease the vehicle. This warranty is non-transferable and remains in effect until the vehicle is sold or the lease is terminated.
1. What is Covered
Our warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials related to the installation of your auto glass, specifically:
- Air or Water Leaks: Any wind noise or water penetration resulting from the seal of the newly installed glass.
- Loose Molding: Any trim or moldings that become loose or detached due to the installation process.
- Material Defects: Manufacturing defects in the glass itself, such as distortion or stress cracks, that are not caused by external impact.
- Repair Performance: For windshield repairs (chip repairs), we warrant that the repair will prevent the chip from spreading. If the repair fails and the chip spreads, we will credit the cost of the repair toward a full windshield replacement performed by Glass Genie.
2. What is Not Covered
This warranty is limited to the specific work performed by Glass Genie and does not cover:
- New Damage: Damage caused by road hazards, including rock chips, cracks from debris, or impact from objects.
- Accidents and Vandalism: Damage resulting from vehicle collisions, theft, or intentional damage.
- Pre-existing Conditions: Any issues arising from pre-existing rust or corrosion on the vehicle’s pinchweld (the metal frame where the glass sits). Glass Genie cannot warrant a seal on a surface compromised by rust.
- Self-inflicted Damage: Damage caused by improper cleaning, the use of harsh chemicals, or failure to follow Safe Drive-Away Time instructions.
- Third-Party Work: Any repairs or adjustments made to the glass by a person or business other than Glass Genie will void this warranty.
3. Limitation of Liability
Glass Genie’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the glass in question. We are not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages, including loss of time, loss of use of the vehicle, or travel expenses.
4. How to Make a Claim
To file a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
- Proof of Purchase: You must present your original receipt or invoice.
- Inspection: Contact us to schedule an inspection. Our technicians must be allowed to examine the vehicle to determine if the issue is covered under the terms of this warranty.
- Resolution: If the defect is found to be a result of our workmanship or materials, Glass Genie will repair or replace the glass at no cost to you.
